Samsung has astounded it’s users over time. Coming up with products which are top notch and very “out there” the company has set standards on a higher bar than most of its rivals. With every New Year comes the celebrations of a new beginning and expectations of what the year has in store for us. But with every year also comes with the expectations of the release of new models of phones which are much awaited for all round the year. Samsung has some gems scheduled as “upcoming phones”, a brief review of which is given below:
Samsung Galaxy S6
Perhaps the most talked about and the most awaited upcoming model of the Samsung Galaxy S series is the S6. Which is being called a definite iPhone 6 rival. The release date of this phone will fall in step with the release of Nexus 6. The phone design was initiated under the Project Zero codename and is being described as the biggest grandest update to date, in the of history Samsung phones. Although S5 failed to bag much appreciation or prolonged audience interest, S6 has set aims to do both while also excelling as a knock-down rival to the other phones.
Expected features and specifications
Although no definite information is known but lots of speculations are being made. The strongest of which is that to rival iPhone 6, S6 may have a storage built of around 128 GB. As far as the operating system is concerned the release of Android Lollipop 5.0 has definitely initiated a ripple of excitement giving base to rumors but what remains to be seen is how the OS adapts to the phone. As far as style is concerned s6 is rumored to be sleeker in design than Galaxy Alpha. Also in store might be the metal touch to the design. The screen will be the same AMOLED but higher resolutions of screen may be expected. All in all there’s much hype about this upcoming phone but no definite information has been made public for now and the release date has not been finalized either but it’s expected to be launched in markets by March 2015.
This unnamed phone-tablet is expected to be launched soon. Although the release date has not been aired as yet the specs have been made public. The phone or more accurately dubbed phablet, is being referred to as the mid-range phone. The rest remains unknown till the actual release of phone.
Specifications and Features: The phone is equipped with 5.5 inch screen which is the same display size as Note 2. Pixel resolution is set to 720 x 1280pxls. The processor will be quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 with Adreno 305 GPU which will make it a good fit for all the gamers out there. It’ll run on Android kit-kat 4.0 and has 7 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera and 12 GB internal memory with 1.3 GB RAM.
Although the phone is scheduled to be release in December 2014 and not strictly 2015, this still makes it an upcoming phone from Samsung.
Specifications: The screen is set to 5.5 inches with 540 x 960 HD display. It’ll be supporting Android 4.4.4 and will be powered by 64 bit 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410. The rear camera is of 8 mega pixels and front camera is set to be of 2 mega pixels.
