United States of America is one of those countries in the world that is famous for national treasures. There are a lot of natural places that you can visit in the country. If you ever plan to visit United States, you should also consider visiting the national parks that are situated in the country too. Keeping this thing in mind, I’m going to share a list and description of some of the best and most visited National Parks in United States. I hope that after reading this post, you will be able to make a list of those national parks that you want to visit while touring USA.
1 – The Smokies
The Smokies is the most visited park in America. Only in 2007, more than 9.4 million people visited this national park. One of the biggest reasons for this park’s fame is that, it is easily accessible. It doesn’t matter where you live in United States, you can easily find a way to visit The Smokies National Park. There are almost 800 miles of hiking trails. So, if you are a hiking lover then you have got to visit this national park. Out of all the hiking trails, 16 are more than 6,000 feet tall.
2 – The Grand Canyon
You must have heard the name of Grand Canyon before but chances are here that you have never visited this national park before in your life. Well, if you are planning a tour to US then you have got to visit The Grand Canyon too. Grand Canyon is also the second most visited park in United States of America. In 2007, more than 4.4 million people visited this park from all parts of the world. You must have seen a lot of photos of this place but the time when you will personally reach this park, the scenery will make your jaw drop to the ground.
3 – Theodore Roosevelt
If you are one of those people who like to see nature with their own eyes and capture every detail in their brain then Theodore Roosevelt is the best place for you. This is the third most visited National Park in United States too. The park is named after Theodore Roosevelt who is considered as the fist greenest president in the history of United States. Theodore was fond of nature and he always wanted to devote his life for making parks and preserving woods. This park was also started by the efforts of Theodore and that is the main reason why this park is called Theodore Roosevelt today.
4 – Yosemite
Ever since I was a small kid, I used to watch the photos of Yosemite Valley in the calendar that was hanging on the wall in our house. I have always wanted to visit this place but until now, I have never got a chance to visit this place on my own. However, if you are visiting United States then you have got to visit Yosemite because this is one of the most beautiful valleys that you will ever find on the face of mother earth.
