An email should look like a customized email in which you are addressing the needs of a buyer. Why would a person buy your product if you cannot convince him for the very purpose? This is the most important thing that you need to keep in your mind if you don’t want to see your email marketing ship drowning in the Dead Sea.

Mistake # 2 : Sending Same Email To All The Customers

This is another mistake that is committed by small businesses. Keep in mind that all your clients are different, they think differently, they have a different relation with you and they all are expecting a different thing from you. So, why would you send a same email to all of them? This kind of strategy not only makes no sense at all but it will also lead you to get bad feedback from your customers. If you cannot craft a different email for different customers, at least you can divide those customers into groups and send different emails to different groups.

To make an email look professional, not only you need to write it in a professional and easy to understand language but you also need to put a link back to your website as well. If a person wants to buy any of your products, he would like to know more about your company and your business. In that case, a link that can take that customer from that email to your website can do wonders for you. So, don’t ever forget to add a link back to your website in all the emails that you send out.

Mistake # 4 : Not Considering The Clients Who Will Read That Email On Mobile

We all love to craft such emails that are rich with images and graphic work but we often forget that a major portion of our clients will be receiving and reading those emails on their smartphones. A graphic rich email that has been designed for desktop users will do nothing good to mobile users. Keeping this fact in mind, craft your emails in a way that any device can support the entire content and a customer can get all the information that is provided in that email.
