LG has been trying to compete with other giant smartphone sellers all over the world. There is no doubt that during this one year, LG has come up with some impressive smartphones that are not only good looking but great to use as well. One of such smartphones introduced by LG is Optimus G. We are going to review this amazing smartphone for you so stay tuned.

Major points

There is a 13-megapixel camera installed in LG Optimus G that is supported by a quad-core CPU. The touch screen is very bright but having no microSD card slot can be a letdown for this smartphone, the battery can be drained very quickly and you may not also like the sound coming from its speakers. However, this smartphone by LG is really a deal breaker and best one in the market at the moment.

The smartphone has a total length of 5.2 inches and a width of 2.7 inches. The depth of smartphone is only 0.33 inches. The weight of the smartphone is only 5.12-ounce which makes it very easy to handle. Once you will hold this smartphone in your hand, you will feel like holding something worthy. The colors available in this handset are black and white and the design is like a square-slate. The slopes on the handset are quite good which makes it easy to hold. One might think that it is much like Samsung Galaxy SII but SII’s specs are nothing in front of this smartphone.

Of course, you cannot squeeze this phone in a smaller pocket because it is a giant phone. This is not the kind of device that you can use with one hand because you will drop it definitely.
The smartphone has a 4.7-inch HD screen which has 1280×768-pixel resolution. The pixel density of this smartphone is 320ppi (pixels per inch). This is really impressive and of course, it beats many high-end smartphones in the market. For instance, Galaxy SIII has only 306ppi and Nokia Lumia 920 has only 332ppi. Anyone looking for a high-end smartphone has all the reasons to go for this handset.

OS and Features

Currently, the smartphone uses Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. It would have been great if the latest OS called 4.1 Jelly Bean was added into this smartphone but the 4.0.4 OS works just fine. You can use all the apps that are available on Google Play Store and make full use of this handset. You will not be left behind anything while using this phone except the latest OS. Well, that might get added very soon as LG will be releasing updates for its smartphones.
Overall features of this smartphone are really great as it comes with a zipped quad core processor that is available in only a few smartphone so far. Many people will complain about the battery life but for such high resolution graphics and features, you have to pay the price of drained battery.
Over all, this is a great handset introduced by LG and we are sure that if not today, after a few months or a couple of years, people will be inclined to buy smartphones produced by LG because they are simply awesome.
