HP Pavilion G6Z – 2200

HP is not a new name in world of Laptops and Ultra books. It is known to provide you class and quality at fairly low price. Hewlett-Packard has brought its latest laptop HP Pavilion G6Z – 2200. The laptop is light on your shoulder as well as on your pocket.

Thumbs Up:

The best thing about Pavilion G6Z is its smart price. It gives you a great sharp and bright colored display so it’s a treat for eyes. The sound is great. According to users’ review, the crisp sound from powerful speakers is one of the best features. Typing is easier because of comfortable keyboard. The round corners give a better finish than squared ones. Dimpled touch pad makes it easier to move the cursor. Over all the hardware is user friendly and smart.

Thumbs Down:

However same cannot be said for the software. Windows 8 is really a pain in the neck without the touch-screen. HP should have introduced touch screen or else should not have used Windows 8. Apps become difficult to manage without touch-screen. The battery life is also not very good. These days market is full of Ultra books which work more than five hours before you have to run for recharge. But HP Pavilion G6Z – 2200 is lacking this feature.

Other Features:

The laptop houses sufficient number of ports including headphone jack, two USB ports, HDMI port and card reader. Laptop features webcam that gives you a resolution of 1280*720 pixels which we think is adequate. It has 2.5 GHz processor which is a little less powerful.

To conclude Pavilion G6Z is a great option for those who want to go smart on price but need a decent laptop, may be for college or school work. However HP should think about improving the software or at least provide touch screen with Windows 8. But then again this will increase the price. At a price of $459 this laptop provides good sound and display quality.
