These days everybody needs different kinds of fonts to represent their work, more presentable and exceptional than others. There are many websites from where you can download fonts for your use. You can find a great list of awesome fonts ondafont.com, google.com/webfonts, 1001freefonts.com and my favorite one is fontsquirrel.com. I use a lot of fonts while designing graphics, text and web layout, it gives a unique look of work as compared to others.
Below steps will be helpful to you, how to install fonts in Windows 8. It’s easy!
Download fonts of your choice from the internet, there are thousands of fonts available on the internet for free.
The file contains font file will be in .zip format, you will need to unzip the folder first.
You will see a .TTF format file (true-type-font-file) in the unzipped folder. Double click on it and install the font and confirm the UAC prompt.
This will now install the selected font on your Windows 8. It will be ready for your use. After clicking the Install button, the font will instantly become available. You probably have to restart the programmes already opened like Word, Adobe Photoshop etc, before you can use it.
Another easy method is that, open windows folder located in your drive C
Open the fonts folder, you will see a whole list of fonts installed on your system.
Copy the font that you have downloaded and paste it here, like in the attached image.
Now your font is installed. Enjoy 😉
