In this world, we have more than 100 mountains who are 7,200 meters above sea level and the interesting thing is that all of these mountains are located in Southern and Central Asia. These mountains are located in Karakoram and Himalaya, the “most famous mountain” ranges of the world. It is the dream of every mountain climber to climb these mountains at least once in their life.
Many climbers visit these mountains every year to climb them. Some climber gets success while some failed. Some climbers also get injured while climbing the mountain they always keep back up with them. Today, we have made a list of the highest peaks of the world that can’t be climbed easily. Many climbers have also lost their lives in past during climbing these mountains. They are not just tall but they are dangerous, attractive and eye-catching too. It is not easy to reach these mountains.
We all know that Mount Everest is the highest peak in the world but we don’t know about the other tall mountains, that’s why we have made this list. 1. Mount Everest
Mount Everest is located in Nepal. It lies in Himalaya mountain range. Mount Everest is 8,848 metres above sea level. It is the highest known peak in the world. The first ascent on Mount Everest was done in May 29, 1953.
2. K2
K2 is located in Pakistan. It lies in Karakoram mountain range. K2 is the 2nd highest peak in the world. It is also known as Mount Godwin-Austen. It is 8,611 meters above sea level.
3. Kangchenjunga
Kangchenjunga is the 3rd highest peak in the world. It is located in Nepal and lies in the Himalaya mountain range. It is 8,586 meters above sea level. First climbing on this mountain was done on May 25, 1955.
4. Lhotse
Lhotse is located between Nepal and China. It lies in Himalaya mountain range. It is the 4th highest peak in the world. Lhotse is 8,516 meter above sea level. First attempt to climb this mountain was done in 1955.
5. Makalu
Makalu is 8,485 meters above sea level. It is located on the border of China and Nepal. It also lies in the Himalaya mountain range. It is 19 km away from world highest peak Mount Everest.
6.Cho Oyu
Cho Oyu is also standing on China and Nepal border and in the Himalayan range. It is the sixth highest peak of the world with the height of 8,201 metres above sea level. In local language, Cho Oyu means “Turquoise Goddess”.
7. Dhaulagiri I
Dhaulagiri I is also located in Nepal. It is the 7th highest peak of the world with a height of 8,167 meters above sea level. It also lies in the Himalayas and 20 km from the Kaligandaki River.
8. Manaslu
Manaslu is the eighth highest peak in the world and 7th in Nepal. It is 8,156 meters above sea level and lies in the Himalayan range.
9. Nanga Parbat
Nanga Parbat is situated in the beautiful valley of Pakistan. It has been nicknamed “Killer Mountain” because many climbers have died while climbing it in the mid of 20th century. It is 8,126 meters above sea level.
10. Annapurna I
Annapurna I is the 10th largest mountain of the world and ninth in Nepal. It is located in the Himalayas and in Annapurna Massif (a mountain range in Nepal). It is 8,091 meters above sea level.
11.Gasherbrum I
Gasherbrum I also have known as K5 is located on the border of Pakistan and China. It is 8,080 meters above sea level. It was the first ascent on July 5, 1958.
12.Broad Peak
Broad Peak is 8,051 above sea level and located in Karakoram range. It is also known as K2 and situated in the region of Pakistan. It is the 12th highest peak of the world.
13.Gasherbrum II
Gasherbrum II is located in Pakistan and lies in the Karakoram range. It is 8,035 meters high above sea level. It is the fourth mountain of Karakoram range. It is 5th highest peak of Pakistan.
14.Shishapangma
Shishapangma is the 14th highest peak of the world with a height of 8,027 meters above sea level. It is located in China and lies in the Himalayan range. It is also known as Gosainthān.
15.Gyachung Kang
Gyachung Kang lies on the border of China and Nepal. Its height is 7,952 meters above sea level. It is located in the Himalayan mountain range.
16.Gasherbrum III
Gasherbrum III is situated on the border of Pakistan and China. It lies in Karakoram mountain range. Its height is 7,946 meters above sea level. The first ascent on it was done on August 11, 1975.

18. Gasherbrum IV
Gasherbrum IV is the 18th highest peak of the world and 6th in Pakistan. Its height is 7,925 meters above sea level.
19.Himalchuli
Himalchuli is located in Nepal. It is the second-highest peak of Mansiri Himal. It lies in the Himalayas and Mansiri Himal. Its height is 7,893 meters above sea level.
20.Distaghil Sar
Distaghil Sar is 7th highest peak of Pakistan. Its height is 7,884 meters above sea level. It lies in Karakoram mountain range. It is the highest peak of Hispar.
