During last 4-5 years, social networking has become a part of our daily life. It doesn’t matter if you go out with your friends to have a good time every day or not, you cannot live without social websites like Facebook and Twitter. These networks are really a great way to stay connected with your friend all the time and also keep an eye on their activities. Facebook being the number of social networking website on internet keeps coming up with latest advancements and improvements. You can use Facebook in your android phone very easily with the help of official Facebook app.
What is Facebook Home?
If you have used different launcher programs in your android phone before then you will find it easy to follow this post. I’m quite sure that you must have heard about Facebook Home that was launched only a couple of weeks ago. This is basically a launcher app for android device. By installing this app in your android phone, you can give a new look to the UI of your device. The bottom line is; your home screen and all the apps shortcuts will be replaced with feeds from your Facebook profile. You don’t need to open your Facebook profile to know what is happening out there because all the graphical information will be displayed on your home screen in the shape of live wallpapers. You can click on a post that is shown on your screen and then like it, share it or comment on it as well.
So is It a Good Idea?
The first time when I heard about Facebook Home and what it could do, I was quite excited about the entire idea. I was very much excited while installing the launcher on my device too. Once installed, I felt really happy because the home screen of my phone was completely changed. In the beginning, the change seemed really good but as the time passed, I started getting sick of those Facebook posts displayed on my home screen. I believe, Facebook Home is really a good idea for all those people who are Facebook fanatics. If you cannot spent an hour without checking Facebook then Facebook Home is for you.
What I liked?
I uninstalled Facebook Home from my phone only after a couple of days but the only reason why I kept it there for 2 days was because I liked some things about it. The first thing that I liked about Facebook home was its UI. It gave an entire new look to my phone and I started feeling excited about using my old phone again. Another thing that I liked about Facebook Home is that, you always stay updated about the latest happenings on your social media profiles. If a friend of yours has posted a new photo on Facebook, it will be displayed on your home screen as live wallpaper.
What I didn’t Liked?
I didn’t really like the UI that much. In the beginning, it was exciting but with the passage of time, it became quite boring. It puts your privacy on risk as well. If a friend borrows your phone for a while, he can see your Facebook newsfeed without opening the app.
