Not a long time ago, Blackberry introduced its new flagship device called Blackberry Z10 in the market and it has been a great hit for the company. It must be mentioned here that Blackberry is striving really hard to stay in the market and keep earning profit but the presence of Android and iOS devices is keeping them far away from success. Still, Z10 was able to earn some good amount of money for the company. In this post, we are going to review yet another device introduced by Blackberry called Blackberry Q10.
While all other smartphone making companies has lost interest in QWERTY keyboards, Blackberry is still sticking to its invention. Q10 features a superb physical keyboard, it has got the latest Blackberry OS 10.1, it runs very smoothly and the best thing is that it has got a long battery life.
One problem that I have with Q10 is about its screen size which is quite small. You will not be able to find a lot of details on the screen. The camera is not very impressive as well. There are not a lot of apps available to use in Blackberry as compared to Android and iOS platforms.
If you are an email, chatting or QWERTY addict then Blackberry Q10 is the best option for you. However, if you have moved from keyboard phones to full touch screen phones then you should probably skip this one.
Well, there are not a lot of things that I can say about the design and body of BlackBerry Q10. By taking a look at the Q10, you will realize that it is a complete buttoned smartphone. For most of the people who have been using Blackberry loyally, this will be a pleasant change.
The best featured offered by Q10 is not its features, OS or screen size but its keyboard. There are complete 4 rows filled with 35 keys. While using the QWERTY keyboard of Q10, I realized that it is really comfortable with hands. You can easily use the keys and once you are practiced, you can even type an email without looking at the keyboard as well. It is because the keys of Q10 are 30% bigger than previous Blackberry models.
Well, you will have to compromise over the display of the device because it features a full time QWERTY keyboard. If you are one of those people who like to see big screens then Q10 is not a good option for you. Most of the phone size is occupied by keyboard and there is only 3.1 inches of display screen available. When you compare this screen size with other smartphones that range from 4 to 5.5 inches of screen size, you will not want to buy Blackberry Q10.
I’m not really sure what kind of research was conducted Blackberry to come up with this smartphone. This is truly made for those people are not very tech savvy and they will buy the handset just because it is made by Blackberry.
