I know that iPhone 5 has been around for quite a time now but it doesn’t mean that I should not review this device. I have been using this device since one month and now I feel that I can write in a better way about iPhone 5. If you are planning to buy one for you then you must read this review first. In this review, you will get an idea about the latest smartphone introduced by Apple and what you should expect from it. From layman’s point of view, Apple has made no change in iPhone 5 as compared to iPhone 4S except, they have increased the screen size by 0.5 inches. Well, this may be true to some extent but as a matter of fact, so many new things have also been introduced in this device. Some of those features are great and some are really bad.
What you will get with iPhone 5
- Lightning USB cable
- Wall Charger
- Earpods with Remote and Mic
- Quick Start Guide
- Apple Decals
Let’s talk about the design of this new device first. I understand that no big difference can be spotted between iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 but still, the design of this new smartphone is worth talking about. According to Apple, the design of iPhone 5 was going to be different from iPhone 4S because it is the best thing that ever happened to iPhone after iPhone. However, I must say that after unpacking my iPhone 5, I was really disappointed. At first glance, it looked like a stretched out version of iPhone 4S and nothing else. However, after giving it a critical look, I have become quite impressed with the design. One thing that I like about Apple is that they don’t change things altogether and that is the main reason why you can look at an iPhone 5 and say, “hey, you have an iPhone? How does it feel?”
The total length of this device is 4.87 inches but there is no change in the width which remains to be 2.31 inches as before. The device has a 4 inch display screen now. The thickness is only 0.3 inches and the weight is only 3.95 oz. So, you can say that the design has improved definitely.
Well, the first thing that you or anyone else will notice about iPhone 5 is its bigger display screen. Apple is finally convinced that they will have to jump into the big screen battle. Still, the screen of iPhone 5 is still 4-inches tall, which is nothing as compared to the direct competitors like Samsung Galaxy SIII or HTC One X. However, if you will look at the display quality of this 4” screen, you will be really impressed. This screen has a retina display, can you believe that? The total screen resolution of iPhone 5 is 640×1136 pixels that make it 326 pixels per inch. You can understand how much details this device will be showing on its screen and this is the same thing that I’m enjoying about my iPhone 5.
