With every passing day, not only the fuel pricing is going higher but the prices of automobiles are on hike as well. In such kind of economic situation, one must take steps to make sure that his/ her car is not consuming a lot of fuel. Obviously, filling your car’s tank with fuel at the end of the month can be a difficult thing to do. It becomes difficult to decide whether you should fulfill the fuel appetite of your vehicle or buy groceries for your house. The best thing that you can do is to make sure that your vehicle is fuel economical and it is not consuming additional fuel. There are different ways to do that and in this post, I’m going to tell you about some of those great ways.
1) Filters and Spark Plugs!
If you want to manage your car then you have to manage so many things. You cannot pay attention towards one feature of your car and forget about the rest because a balance in the car maintenance is the key to saving more money. You must take your care for a routine inception at the end of the month and make sure that the Filters and Spark Plugs are working fine. If any problem in these parts of your car is detected, get it fixed as soon as possible. If possible, keep changing the filter and spark plugs of your care quarterly i.e. 3 times a year.
2) Quality of Tires!
When you are driving your car, the road below your tires is offering resistance due to two reasons. There is gravitational force of earth that provides a natural resistance and you cannot avoid it and then there is additional resistance that depends on the quality of road you are driving on. Though you cannot change the quality of road if it is bad but you can always install good quality tires in your car that will take care of resistance offered by road. This will definitely help reduce the fuel consumption of your vehicle.
3) Air Intake System!
If you want to increase the life of your car and make it use less fuel then the air intake system should be used properly. Make sure that your care has got a free air intake system which means that there should be no blockage in the system or any kind of limitations. The more air your car will get inside its system, the more smooth your travel will become and less fuel will be consumed by vehicle as well. This is a very simple tip but most of the car owners don’t pay attention to it whatsoever.
4) Exhaust System!
Just like human body, there is an exhaust system in cars as well. If your car is not able to exhaust all the used gases, fuel and water then it will stop working properly. As a result, more fuel will be required to pump the car system and that will put extra burden on your pocket. Make sure that exhaust system of your care is working properly.
5) Speed Limit!
Many of you may not know that the speed of your care has a direct effect on the fuel consumption. If you are driving your car at a slow speed in a lower gear, it will consume more fuel. However, it doesn’t mean that you should always drive your care with a lot of speed. Maintaining a speed limit of 55-60 Km/h is a wise choice as it will ensure your safety and less fuel consumption too.
