Most time of the day, I’m either chatting with my Facebook friends or with my clients who prefer to use Google Talk/ Hangouts. Ever since I became an Android user, my life starting to fall into once piece because I could stay connected with my Facebook and Google contacts with the help of my phone. It is a dilemma that we as humans cannot get enough of anything. For a long time, I was looking for an app that could let me connect with Facebook and Google contacts at the same time. Finally, I have found such an app and it is called Talk.to.
The best thing that I liked about Talk.to is its user interface. Not only it has got a cool UI but the usability is very simple and easy too. There is no long registration process and you just need to connect your Google+ and Facebook accounts and start using this app. Once you will login, the app will show you a home screen on which you will you will find a list of your contact. By swiping on left, you will find a list of open chats. Swipe one more time and you will find your favorite contacts and third swipe will bring you to a list of online contacts. The interface of this app is not customizable but there is no use of customization too. Everything in this app is placed at the right spot. You will find it really easy to use this app and stay connected with your friends on Facebook and Google Hangouts.
On top of the screen you can find @ icon. By tapping on that icon, you will see a list of your accounts. You can easily select an account, log into it and update your status too. There is a contact search feature too. With the help of that feature, you can easily find your offline contacts and send them a message so they can read it after coming online.
Another important thing to keep in mind while reviewing any app is its performance. The main problem with most of the chatting apps is that, they start lagging and make your phone sluggish and slow. Talk.to is using two different social accounts at the same time and using a lot of data which made me worried that it will become sluggish when I’m chatting with more than one people. However, I was quite amazed to see that the app didn’t slow down at all even when I was chatting with 5 different friends on both networks. At this moment, you can only connect Facebook and Google+ with this app. However, I’m hoping that in future updates, they will add more networks like Skype and Yahoo etc.
I would say that I’m really impressed with the performance and UI of Talk.to. This app has really impressed me and has made its home in my android device. If you are also looking for an app that can help you stay connected with your Facebook and Google friends then Talk.to is the best option for you.
