A mobile phone commonly known as a cellular phone or cell phone, is a device that can make
and receive a telephone call. The first mobile telephone call was made on 17 June 1946 in St.
Louis, Missouri. Fifty five years later, in 2001, the third generation (3G) mobile was launched
in Japan. Now the lifestyle has changed completely by using 4G types phone by Apple and
Samsung, two main mobile manufacturing companies.
Samsung Galaxy Note II
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is a touchscreen computer hybrid designed, developed and
marketed by Samsung company, with more than ten million Galaxy Notes sold worldwide,
Samsung company has taken the next step with the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The samsung
galaxy note II is a huge phone, its screen measures 5.5 inches, thats approaches to tablet size.
It dwarfs the 3.5 inches screen of the old iPhone 3 and 4, and about halfway between the size
of the old iPhone and new iPad mini. Samsung galaxy note is paired with S Pen, a pen that
emits a beam of light which the touch screen recognizes. With this pen tool, the galaxy note II
is marketed as a creative tool. This 4G compatible smartphone has an even larger screen, but
also has a slimmer, narrower body and a brand-new Android operating system.
The Note II runs on a 1.6 Ghz quad-core processor. It has two gigabytes (GB) of internal RAM,
and comes with 16GB of built in storage, plus a microSD card slot for up to 64GB of additional
storage. The phone runs on the latest version of Google’s Android operating system, 4.1 Jelly
Bean. Call quality on the phone was very good, even wearing headphones. Speakerphone
worked especially well.
The iPhone 5 is a touchscreen based smartphone developed by Apple company. After Apple
began taking pre-orders in 2012, over two million were received within 24 hours. The new Maps
application has been reported to contain many serious errors also several hardware issues
have also received criticism from consumers and reviewers. The iPhone 5 is just a rehash of the
old iPhone 4. That’s the easy verdict when viewing a picture of new iPhone 5. It presents itself
as the familiar metal-banded slab, stretched and slim.
The iPhone 5 raises its screen height by 14 mm, keeping the width identical and importantly
the screen still has the pixel hiding retina resolution of 326ppi. The aluminium construction may
be a step in right direction and it provides a more handleable object for the fingertips. Durability
may suffer a little though. In the case of black model, daily use is likely to create small nicks and
in white, the iPhone 5 look less juvenile as compared to others and so light in weight leaves no
sensation of its presence in the pocket. iPhone 5 is taking an even smaller SIM card than the
already diminutive micro SIM. Apple has replaced the Google- supplied mapping data for the
maps app with its own new system.
Apple and Samsung captured a remarkable 106% handset industry profits. As the Samsung
and Apple are being very competitive companies. It would highly expecting Samsung to offer
competition to iPhone 5 in terms of camera abilities and new S Pen features.
