Panasonic was on a mission to make their own convertible ultrabook and finally Panasonic revealed the Convertible AX Ultrabook series. Though this series series is built on the concept of Lenovo’s Yoga 11 and 13 (the pioneers of the concept), it still has got its own commendable features. Dell recently too has made a proclamation of the same concept notebook which will be called XPS 11.
Jason Lee, Panasonic Australia Toughbook product marketing manager said:
Two devices have been purpose built for the mobile workforce.
FZ-G1 Toughpad is the starter notebook that works with Windows 8. This new tablet is exceptional in its own way. A very complacent model to go with. User can customize it in his own way and as per his demand.
It is said to be an admirably durable tablet as it would not be affected by falling off from the height of 2.5 feet approx. and also can bear up to 100 kg of pressure. So, isn’t it exciting? Indeed it is.
According to Lee:
Whether it is utility staff working to restore power in hostile conditions or a salesperson out in the field, the elevated level of durability ensures maximum worker productivity and minimizes downtime.
This Ultrabooks has been designed with the hard knocks and scrapes on the road in mind, and it can withstand drops of up to 76cm and 100 kg force pressure on the screen.
Another adequate news regarding the AX convertible series, this series will be able to run the battery up to 13 hours. Yes you heard it right. It is going to be a treat for the users. Lee:
To that end, it has a full array of AV interfaces, security options and long life battery.
Size and Weight
Lee further added:
It is the thinnest and lightest device of its kind, designed for mobile service workers working out on the field or in vehicles.
1.14 kg (2.5 pounds) and is 18 mm thick (0.7 inches) are the suggested size and weight for the series.
Other specs include:
