Bangalore, India fires the news of the latest Nexus Smartphone Lunch in the country. LG, in collaboration with Google, has come up with this new device and LG Officially Launches Nexus 4 In India. So its LG and not Google who has takes this initiative. Hence, after a long await the Nexus 4 lands in India.
The Nexus 4 In India
The availability of Nexus 4 in India has given it a higher purchase price as compared to that in the USA. The handset, in India, has been assigned a price tag of Rs. 25,999 ($475). The reason why the device is priced high is because, in India LG is the one selling it. Had it been Google selling the phone, it would have easily afforded to sell it for less as made in the USA. This is something that LG cannot take on, so the profits they get on their hardware sales is their biggest support and reliance.
The Nexus 4 in India is available at LG’s major brand shops, at multi-brand outlets and at all specialty stores. It is worth knowing that LG is selling only the 16GB variant Nexus 4 in India. At the Launch, Soon Kwon the LG Electronics India Managing Director highlighted the handset’s refined hardware design from LG, the exciting Google Apps and the latest version of Android that Nexus 4 is comprised of.
The Nexus 4 has a 4.7-inch large capacitive touch screen having a resolution of 1280x786p and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor which is a 1.5GHz quad core processor with a 2GB of RAM. The device runs on the latest version of Android operating system i.e. Android v4.2.2. The Nexus 4 has an 8MP rear camera with a 1.3MP front facing camera and possesses a 16GB built-in-storage-capacity. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, Android Beam and wireless charging having battery capacity of 2100mAh.
Soon Kwon, at the Launch, says: “LG Electronics is pleased to partner Google on the release of the Nexus 4 in India.”
