Ever since the year 2012 started, I have been receiving funny emails, text messages and all that stuff from my friends that world is going to end on December 21, 2012. Just to clear the air, let me tell all of you that I’m not the kind of person who would believe in any such thing. I mean common guys (and girls too), how can you expect the world to be destroyed on December 21, 2012 just because it has been shown in a successful movie? For me, this day is going to be just another day of winter and I must mention here that the day following i.e. December 22, 2012, I will be celebrating my birthday too. If you are somewhere in Australia, I wish you a happy summer day.
There are speculations that another planet is going to collide with ours, seriously? There are not going to be any killer solar flares in the atmosphere. The Mayan long court calendar may be ending on the same day but it doesn’t mean the world is also going to end because there are hundreds of other calendars with no expiry date. There is no reason to believe that we are on the verge to be destroyed because December 21, 2012 is a dooms day. Well, we are actually going towards destruction due to the pollution that we are spreading in the world and even if this pollution will not be enough to destroy us, we will make sure to launch nukes against each other because of the way we are making new weapons.
Let’s take a look at the reasons given for destruction of world on December 21, 2012
Ending of Mayan Calendar – According to Sarasota Patch article, the Mayans used three different calendars, the short calendar, the medium calendar and the long calendar. The short and the medium calendars have already completed years ago and on Dec. 21, 2012, the long calendar is also going to end. Many people believe that this is prediction of a Doomsday but majority doesn’t believe in anything like this.
Nostradamus – If you don’t know much about you then let me elaborate a little. According to a famed Fresh Seer belonging from 1500s, there are different scenarios that will take place during 2012 and that are the prediction for the end of the world. Many predictions have been completed and the only thing left is the Dooms Day scheduled on Dec. 21, 2012.
Planet Nibiru Striking With Planet Earth – For the first time, it was predicted that the planet Nibiru will strike with Earth in 2003 but it never happened. The planet’s discovery is also acknowledged by NASA but since it never struck with earth in 2003, the date was moved to December 2012.
What Will Actually Happen?
To be honest with you, we all know what is going to happen on Dec. 21, 2012. Neither any of us nor NASA is convinced that the world is going to end on that day. Most importantly, I have my 23rd birthday on the day following Dec. 21 so that can never be the end of the world.
What do you think will happen on December 21, 2012?
