However, if your customers are spread all over the world then keep in mind to wish them a public holiday only when it is happening in their country too. Obviously, a customer sitting in UK has nothing to do with American Independence day. You should be aware about the geographic positioning of your customers and send them emails in accordance to their countries.
Religious Holidays/ Festivals
Religious festivals are another reason to get in touch with your customers. Just like public holidays, you should be very careful while wishing a religious holiday to your customers. You are not supposed to wish Happy Eid to a customer who has Christian beliefs and similarly, a Muslim customer may not like to be wished Happy Christmas either. You should know about the religious beliefs of your customers and if you are not sure about them, avoid sending any religious wishing emails to any of your customers.
We often send a form to our customers via email in which they have to fill their personal information like First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Email Address, Date of Birth and Home Address etc. If you have birthday information of all your customers, you should take advantage of that information. There are only a few companies that wish happy birthday to their customers because they are usually so buys with daily work that they cannot even remember the birthdays. All you have to do is to add the birthdays of all your customers in a calendar so you can be reminded about all those customers who have a birthday on current date.
