As a safety and security measure, Facebook wants only genuine profile on its website and the company is planning to cancel those unwanted accounts. If you find any fake profile on Facebook, then you can easily report it by clicking a link on the suspicious user profile page. According to the Facebook spokesperson that, this platform (Facebook) is entirely based on people using their original identities. Facebook divided those false accounts in three categories:
- Duplicate Accounts (4.8% of total)
- Mis-classified Accounts (2.4% of total)
- Undesirable Accounts (1.5 % of total)
Find out how can we get rid of these accounts by adopting simple steps given below:
Open your favorite browser and go to the Facebook homepage.
Click the profile name to open the users profile page.
Now locate the gear icon on the page and click on ‘Report/Block’ option to proceed the process.
Now Choose the appropriate option “Pretending to be me” from the new dialogue pop up window and press continue button.
Now mobile phone number is asked from from the user. Enter your active mobile number and press continue to proceed.
Now you’ve received a confirmation on your mobile, copy that code and enter in the above shown text field and click on ‘Confirm’ button.
A new dialogue box is open and asked the reason for you. Give appropriate reason in the text box and explain shortly why are you reporting your friend and select the check box before pressing on the Confirm button.
That’s it! At the end a thank you message is shown, press ‘Okay’ button and now in this way you can get-rid from of fake friend.
