I have recently graduated which means that I have no experience of my field at all. This is the main reason why I’m finding it real hard to land a good job because every company in the market is searching for hardworking, dedicated, well educated, and most importantly well experienced individuals. I often find this situation quite frustrating because every time when I’m done with the interview and start hoping that they are just going to offer me a job, they let me down by stating that I don’t possess required experience for the job position. However, I did some research that helped me a lot to find a good job without any experience. In this post, I’m going to share some of the things that I did and I suggest you all to do those things because that can be really helpful to find a good job without any practical experience.
Know What You Want
First of all, you should know what you are looking for. If you are a marketing graduate, you will never want to work in a finance department because that is not your area. So, you should never apply for those jobs that don’t fall into your zone. While looking up for job opportunities in newspapers or on the internet, you should only consider those companies that are offering a job related to your field of interest. This will not help you to get a job but it will definitely reduce your frustration and disappointment after giving an interview and not getting selected for the job.
Create a Killing Resume
I understand that being a fresh graduate, you don’t have any practical experience that you can mention in your resume but it doesn’t mean that you have never done anything in your life. You should create a perfect resume that reflects your intellectual level and your academic achievements properly. Most of the people fail to make an impressive resume and that is the main reason they are not selected for the job they apply. Your resume is your first impression on the interviewer and if he is not impressed with your resume, he will never want to hire you for the job.
Attend Work Shops/ Seminars
Since you don’t have a job right now, it means that you have plenty of free time in your hand. You should not waste this time by sitting in home and waiting for an interview call but you should go outside, meet with new people, create network, and attend workshops and seminars related to your field so you can find someone who can help you get a job without any experience. Keep in mind that recommendation matters a lot in case of an inexperienced person. If can get recommendation from a person who has a good reputation in the industry, you can easily land on a good job in a reputed company.
I have used all the above tips and now I’m doing a dream job. What about you?
