You also get two different memory options of 16GB and 32GB as well. There is no rear facing camera in this tablet but it has got a 2 megapixel webcam that can be used to video chat with your friends. You will find Android OS 4.0 in this tablet and of course the Amazon App store too. For a 16GB version, you will have to pay only £159 and £199 for a 32GB model.

Design

When it comes to the design of this tablet, Amazon has used some nice material for manufacturing purpose. On back, you will find a combination of strong plastic along with soft rubber. It feels really nice to touch. There are two speaker holes to give you a better sound quality and surround as well. Usually, you can hold all 7-inch tablets in one hand or learn to hold it in some time but when it comes to Amazon Kindle Fire HD, you will not be able to hold it easily in one hand especially in portrait mode.

Screen

Since Amazon has used IPS panel for the HD screen of its new Kindle tablet, you can expect to see some really wide angles as well. Of course, good color and perfect contrast are also a virtue of IPS technology too. The screen is color rich and displays everything very clearly. We had no issue in seeing images and watching videos on this tablet at all.

Interface

One thing that you should keep in your mind is that, the Android 4.0 ICS is not in its original form when you use it in Kindle Fire HD. Amazon has tweaked the OS and designed it in a way to become compatible with the device that they have created. If you are already using any previous Kindle device then you will be asked to enter your login information while purchasing the new one. In this way, you can get all your old e-books back in the new Kindle Fire HD by default.

Battery Life

According to Amazon, their tablet has 11 hours of battery life and as per our testing; the device can last for 10 hours easily if you keep playing videos consecutively.
